Description

ESO 210-6A, also known as the Bok's Valentine Nebula, is a stunning reflection nebula located in the constellation Vela, about 4,000 light-years from Earth. This celestial gem gets its nickname from its heart-like shape. The nebula is formed by dust clouds reflecting the light of a young, massive star at its center. This star is a hot blue giant that emits intense ultraviolet radiation, causing the surrounding gas and dust to glow. The nebula's red hues come from abundant hydrogen gas emissions.
